Let me share with you what brought me here…to emerge from my cocoon, to create this website, to put back on one of the parts of my identity that I had shed.
Perhaps this is what brought you here, too.
This week, Gideon Culman invited me to talk about my research on and lived experience with fallback in human development. He invited me rather urgently, because in this strange new land pervaded by Coronavirus, he saw people falling back all around him. He saw himself falling back. And, he thought what I know, if shared, might help people to better navigate the terrain. I’m so very grateful to Gideon for the nudge and the invitation. He does a masterful job of wrangling my offerings to make sense of why understanding fallback right now is so important. What it means for him. What it means for the rest of us. Gideon has started this podcast, Pandemic Companions, to provide information, resources, companionship to those of us who may be desperately seeking one or all of these during these uncertain times. It’s a beautiful gift.
